The age old debate rages its ugly head again. Were the Apostolic Scriptures (New Testament), and more specifically the synoptic Gospels written in Hebrew or Greek? Or even Aramaic? Isn’t there tons of references by the early church fathers about a Hebrew Matthew, and a Hebrew Gospel written by Matthew? Doesn’t this prove that at least the book of Matthew was written in Hebrew?
